Workshops and Classes
Class Schedule 2012

If you do not see a class scheduled that works for you, call and we'll figure out a date and time that does work. Once a class is scheduled, I will advertise the date and time so we may have others join us.
Classes are limited to six students. Exceptions can be made for special occasions. All materials and tools are provided for all classes and workshops. You may bring your own cutting tools if you have them.
Beginning Glass Fusing
If you have never experienced creating with glass, you just want a refresher course, or you feel a need for a bit more assisted experience before starting out on your own, this class is for you.
Beginning fusing is one day and runs for approximately five hours. $150.00 A $25. nonrefundable deposit is required one week prior to class.
Up to six flat projects will be created using a variety of techniques and materials. These include dichroic pendants, a set of four coasters (counted as one project) and two or more 6” tiles.
We will discuss: safety, glass compatibility, basic glass cutting, tools, kiln preparation and firing schedules.
You will receive a packet of interesting handouts with more in-depth information on the topics we discuss as well as a Spectrum 96 Glass color brochure.
Intermediate Glass Fusing
Prerequisites: Beginning fusing. You must be familiar with the basics of fusing and be proficient at cutting glass.
Intermediate Fusing is a three day class by arrangement. A variety of pieces will be made including an 11” plate and a multiple layer 10” x bowl.
We will cover three and four layer projects, pattern bars, slumping and mold preparation. Cold working basics. Circle cutting using the Circle Pro Cutter, Virtograph, and inclusions.
You will receive a packet of handouts including recommended firing schedules for the pieces we make and other very useful information.
$500.00 covers everything. All tools and materials are provided. A $50. nonrefundable deposit is due two weeks before your first day in class.
